12:45PM - Oh, I was in the middle of making that table but I guess we have to go watch the match!
12:42PM - Gah!! I didn't realize that Phil hasn't been here to update yet. We are in the second
alliance with teams 1241 and 1006. I shall make a chart of all the alliances.
11:29AM - Apparently we're in seventh now
11:25AM - There are no more matches for 772 until alliance time, hoping we get into one
11:17AM - 772 was called to Pit Administration for a mysterious purpose. Some of the Sabres are probably going to lunch now
11:11AM - We had another match and we won! 76-0. Andrew changed the autonomous program since we weren't starting with a tetra, now it should just knock them down. Currently, we are in sixth place
10:35AM - Back to the matches
10:34AM - Ok they are going out for the next match. Our partner has an autonomous that caps
the center and knocks down the corner so I added something that might be able to knock down the
other tetra... We don't know if it works. I hope it does though.
10:32AM - Karthik's getting in on the action. They've even got the lights flashing
10:30AM - It's glorious. So many furry people stomping their feet, clapping their hands
10:28AM - The team mascots are entering the field for the ten-thirty dance
9:52AM - All right!! We won our first match today. Go walrus! That bumped us to 10th place!!!

9:31AM - Sabres should be up after the match just starting. Teams are reminded that their robots will be measured and weighed again today, so any changes they've made must comply
9:19AM - We just got our second call to go to the field.
9:17AM - The first match is underway
9:14AM - Wow! There are some fairly large developments considering we haven't played a match yet.
First of all, Team 1547 "Where's Waldo?" just presented us with their own team spirit award! We are very
happy to accept this from such an energetic team. Also, team 772 has registered for The Championship!
It is not definite that we are going, but if we don't win this competition then we are on a list to go determined by
how long it has been since we last attended (and we never have in 4 years).

9:14AM - Our anthem guys and gals came back again today. There was just an incredibly loud sound on the PA as the first match was about to begin. It sounded like someone blowing on a whistle with all their might, into a megaphone, into another megaphone, and butt up to a microphone, with the volume on full blast. Anyway, everyone jumped. It was pretty fun.
9:09AM - The refs wave from their standing spot. Here's the sponsor video
9:08AM - Say hello to the judges, they're waving from their table
9:05AM - Even the adults lose their voice yelling at these things
9:02AM - We arrived, took practically a hundred pictures of all the GM teams, and played Ball. Now the opening ceremonies are on
8:56AM - And we're back! We are all set up now and all the GM teams got a picture together.
Opening ceremonies are soon

4:57PM - Well it looks like we are just packing up now. There are still matches going on and awards
to hand out so we'll be here for a bit more, but I think they'll want the computer ready to go. So unless
there are any more developments (in which case I'll update at the hotel), we're signing off!
4:52PM - Ahh sorry for the delay. We stayed out a second match to cheer for another team. But
anyways we won! Both sides controlled one row but our team just happened to have more capped. Go Sabres!
That moved us up in the rankings quite a bit and it puts us in a good position for tomorrow's last two matches.
4:15PM - We were just queued... again apparently. I guess we didn't hear the first call.
The walrus has left the pit... not yet... almost ... they're putting in the battery....
And... they are pulling zip ties off of the cart. Also Incentive. And there goes the walrus.
4:05PM - Mary Jean Gallagher was just at our pit. Yay for schoolboards!
3:51PM - That was a very exiting match but we lost. We thought we had it in the bag but our
teammate got a 10 point penalty which brought us 2 points below the red alliance.
3:30PM - We are still on deck. Some of us are just in the pit looking at pictures that are in our slideshow
one in particular of Matt Branoff and Adam Sinasac that I think everyone needs to see, and it's in our
Waterloo picture gallery. You'll know it when you find it. Bahahahahahha.
3:22PM - Still waiting for our next match, we were just playing with a BALL out on the field but then
it got knocked into some drivers during a match... so yeah... Ok now we've been queued right after I walked
all the way here! Yay.
2:35PM - By the way, sorry for the lack of frequent updates folks, I know it sort of takes away from feeling
that the second-to-second updates give you.
2:33PM - Ohhh yeah! We just got back from crushing that match! GO WALRUS! I'm sweating.

2:01PM - We are just waiting for our next match. Judges came to talk to us about our robot's design
and then came to talk about innovation and control systems on our robot. Oh! We just got queued up. Fun fun fun.

1:32PM - We just got back from our last match, which we won! It was very exciting, the match was
even up until the last second where we capped the other team's corner goal and made an extra row.
12:54PM - Alright just to let you know whats going on, everyone is having lunch. At this point about 1/4
of the teams have completed their third match. Our next match is in almost an hour.
11:42AM - Yep we definitely lost that one. We were the only ones on our alliance scoring any points
and in the process of trying to cap the center goal we knocked over another robot and got a penalty for it.

11:28AM - The walrus has just left for the field. May the mammals of the sea be with him!
11:10AM - Things are moving right along, "last call for match 17, second call for match 18, final call for
match 19." We will be queued up next.
10:57AM - Judges are working the pits, they came and asked us about what we did to raise money.
10:02AM - After some penalties to both sides, blue wins 4-0

9:56AM - Teams 919, 772, and 1419 are up on the blue side

9:54AM - We're going up for match four, our first. The team is readying some cheers
9:49AM - Second match results were 79-7. That's a high score to beat
9:35AM - Stood for the anthems, some six people singing in harmony. Now the matches begin

9:28AM - The Triple Play video, for the last time
9:27AM - The safety video from Team 342 is playing
9:25AM - The refs are performing a skit about robotics rules

9:24AM - At sixty-six teams, this is the biggest regional of the year
9:24AM - Enter the referees. Including Waterloo's head referee and volunteer of the year winner, Ian McKenzie.

9:21AM - Three million dollars over the next three years to high school students to provide
face-to-face time with Ontario's researchers

9:18AM - Minister of Economic Development and Trade for Ontario
9:16AM - Thank you to the teachers
9:14AM - People in red at the competition are ambassadors, new this year, who spread the
word about FIRST.
9:12AM - A representative of the Toronto District School Board
9:09AM - Judges being introduced
9:06AM - A sponsor slideshow in place of the old video. It's pretty cool
9:05AM - FIfty-one teams from Ontario
9:04AM - Karthik is on stage
9:01AM - Lights have dimmed and the inspiration video is playing
9:00 AM - People are now heading to the stands for the ceremonies, we'll be back soon.
8:53 AM - And we're back at the Hershey Centre! We're more or less still getting set up but
we are starting on Match 4, the opening ceremonies are in 10 minutes or so I think. (andrew)
8:46AM - We have arrived. There's a podium on the field (phil)

5:13 PM - Ok, for our last matches all three robots on our team came but nobody on the other
team came. All we ended up doing was practice stacking the center goal and got 4 on there if I remember right,
they had trouble with one of them. On the second match we just did everything normally for the most part and
at the end we even capped one for the blue team (hence the 3 points). I think the 20 point penalty was from
us dangling the tetra over the driver station at one point when we tried to get to the corner goal. Right
now I guess we are doing something? I haven't heard what it is though, just that we have to go down to the lobby.
Tomorrow the opening ceremonies are at 9:00 AM.
4:50 PM - We are back at the hotel and all the computers are hooked up again... results
from our last round are coming now.
3:50 PM - Ok I have been busy, we are heading home. I have to go right now though so I'll
finish with the updates when we get back to the hotel.
2:54 PM - They gave the last call for match 25 so we have a few minutes till we go still. I
just got a throat lozenge from team 771, thanks!
2:36 PM - We were just queued up for our last practice round of the day.
2:33 PM - They are currently on match 23 I believe, we are pretty much just talking to people to walk by our pit
right now. I'm not sure what people at the field are doing, most likely being bored unfortunately.
2:18 PM - Breaking news: thanks team 1140 for giving us glow sticks :D
2:04 PM - Sorry for the downtime, the wireless adaptor was sort of crooked and it was making me lose my connection.
1:48 PM - Ok I just got back from the field, I'll upload a few pictures from the match. We won both again. In
the first match we even tried to cap one for the blue team but the time ran out. In the second match
they were trying some new things, such as using the autonomous code on the center goal (didn't really
work well, the tetra was sort of half-capped), and loading two tetras from the auto-loader (the referees said that we would have gotten a
30-point penalty for that). I talked to Adam afterwards and I guess it was just a split decision and
in the future they would load two tetras from the human loader.

1:15 PM - Me and Joel just got interviewed by an American team about our robot. I need a voice
very badly.
1:06 PM - Oh, I just remembered, they also did not receive the animation at this competition,
but Aruj had it covered. He had a backup DVD in case it happened so they are alright. He is done
judging the other animations.
1:04 PM - Mohsin just yelled "SANDWICH" and one of the girls on the all-girls team in the pit
next to us screamed.
1:01 PM - Don't mind the table, I'm in the middle of working on it. Anyways, Team 772 is
the first team to pass inspection!
12:33 PM - This is Andrew... Right now there is a driver's meeting and people are generally
just having lunch. Our next practice match is at 1:36. I'll go find Phil.
