ROLL OUT!
1:19PM - This just in! WE WON!!! Joseph's defensive driving (awesome, by the way) got us a 19 - 4 victory with our alliance! I'm uploading pictures as I type, expect them quite soon!
1:09PM - As promised, here are the pictures from our dance party! We're up RIGHT NOW!
We draw a crowd sometimes!
Try to guess which dance we're doing in each picture:
There will be videos later on, too.
12:49PM - So a giant dance party just took place! It started with the Casper Slide, went into The Hustle, Cotton-Eyed Joe, The Macarena, some Jock Jams, and now it's the Eye of The Tiger (Erbas is excited). Pictures of this madness will be posted in just a few minutes! We are in line for our next match, as well, where Joseph will again be driving.
12:27PM - I apologize for all the depressing updates that were previously posted! The team is pulling out of that rough patch. In our last match, Joseph Mancini was our driver! As a grade nine at his first competition having never driven this robot, the entire team is extremely impressed with his performance. Though we lost (having no ramps or arm), it was a great accomplishment for Joseph and we're all very proud!
10:22AM - A defensive as we were, we still lost 14-10. We need those ramps!
10:18AM - We're back up! I'm going to go cheer.
10:12AM - We had our first match a while ago... with a small issue; no robot on the field! Not only is Dumbo's arm too big, but his ramps are too long, so the robot's been stripped. Unfortunately, we're going to be strictly defensive for a while. We also had a safety issue with the electrical board. We'll keep you posted.
9:27AM - Cadets are coming out for the national anthems. Canada's was sung FIRST!
9:25AM - Also thank the sponsors that provide the RIT Fieldhouse for us.
9:24AM - ... please thank all the volunteers for making this possible! =)
9:22AM - Last year's winning safety video from Team 375 is being shown.
9:21AM - Here's the GEC video about penalties, "The Yellow Flag Policy".
9:20AM - We're now meeting the referees... they're in black and white stripes, P.S.
9:16AM - The "Rack 'n' Roll" video is playing, I think I almost have it memorized word for word.
9:12AM - The judges are getting introduced to us. They're the ones in blue.
9:06AM - A doctor from RIT is now welcoming us!
9:05AM - Dean Kamen and Woodie Flowers are in a video telling us to go for a personal best in Gracious Professionalism.
9:04AM - The classic FIRST intro video is playing now.
9:02AM - The Opening Ceremonies are starting!
